Fruit salads have always been my go-to for taking along to cookouts. It’s so healthy, and it’s nearly 100% guaranteed that it will be eaten right up with no leftovers!

This simple fruit salad recipe is fresh and vibrant! I chose strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, and pomegranate as they’re my favorites and I always have them on hand. However, you can add in any fresh fruits you like!
Healthy Fruit Salad Recipe
The best thing about this simple and easy fruit salad recipe is the fruit salad dressing! I whipped up lime, honey, vanilla, and poppy seeds. These ingredients are perfect together and really make the fruit flavors shine!
Fruit salad contains a variety of sweet fruits and is coated in a simple dressing or sometimes cream. For this fruit salad, I chose strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, and pomegranate seeds mixed with honey, lime, and poppy seed dressing.
The best way I’ve found to keep fruit salad bright and vibrant is to add lime, lemon, orange, or pineapple juice to the salad dressing and toss the fruit well with it. These citrus fruits contain a key enzyme that keeps other fruits like apples, pears, peaches, and bananas from browning.
Best Easy Fruit Dessert Recipes
That depends on the fruits your using! If you’re going to add apples, pears, bananas, or peaches, I would wait until the next day to add in those fruits. Other fruits like berries are great to prepare the night before. Allow them to marinate in the dressing for the best flavor!

To segment the orange: Cut a thin section off the top and bottom. Place upright on cutting board. With a sharp knife, start at the top and follow the natural curve to remove the outer peel.

Then, cut on either side of the skin to remove the segments of oranges. Hold the orange in your hand above the bowl to catch the orange juice drippings.

Fruit salad can be made up to 6 hours in advance. Store it in the refrigerator and wait to add the banana until just before serving. If you plan to add other fruits that will turn brown, such as apples, also wait to add these until just before serving. Restir prior to serving. I do not recommend making fruit salad a day ahead or refrigerating fruit salad overnight if it can be avoided, since the fruit will become somewhat mushy.
